Community leader, local business owner, and 2025 Stouffville Citizen of the Year.
Rocco Priore knows what it takes to build something from the ground up.
The son of Italian immigrants, Rocco was raised on a simple formula: steady work, a pension, no risks. He had other ideas. At 19, he launched a landscaping business and never looked back. Nearly three decades later, he's the founder of Country Casa Montessori Daycare, an institution that has become one of the most trusted names in childcare across Ontario.
Country Casa is unlike anywhere else. Children learn and grow in a space complete with an indoor gymnasium, a commercial kitchen preparing organic meals from produce grown on the property, working gardens, a petting zoo, and hands-on nature programming that make childhood genuinely memorable.
This is someone who gives without keeping score.
Outside of Country Casa, Rocco has long been a fixture in the community — supporting local causes, mentoring small business owners, and advocating for the people and institutions that make Stouffville what it is. His 2025 Citizen of the Year award says what those who know him already knew.
He's running for Ward 2 Councillor because Stouffville deserves leadership that's present, accountable, and genuinely invested in every corner of this community.
